Why should we keep His Sabbath?
Because He is the Creator
(Exo 20:8) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
(Exo 20:9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
(Exo 20:10) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
(Exo 20:11) For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Because He is our Redeemer
(Deu 5:12) Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
(Deu 5:13) Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
(Deu 5:14) But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
(Deu 5:15) And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
Interpretation of Timelines in the Word
(Rev 11:2) But leave out the court outside the temple and do not measure it, for it is given to the Gentiles; and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months.
(Rev 11:3) And I will give to my two witnesses that they, clothed in sackcloth, will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
(Rev 11:3) And I will give to my two witnesses that they, clothed in sackcloth, will prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Calculation:
42 months ÷ 12 = 3½ years
1,260 days ÷ 42 months = 30 days per month
42 months ÷ 12 = 3½ years
1,260 days ÷ 42 months = 30 days per month
Note: There are 30 days in every month and 4 times per year there is a seasonal adjustment - (Tekufat - to make each season begin on a day 4).
(Rev 12:6) And the woman fled to the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
1,260 days = 42 months = 3½ years
(Dan 7:25) And he will speak words against the Most High and oppress the saints of the Most High; and he will attempt to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.
Time Calculation:
Time = 1 year
Times = 2 years
Half a time = 6 months
Total = 3½ years
Time = 1 year
Times = 2 years
Half a time = 6 months
Total = 3½ years
Comparison with Other Calendar Systems
Gregorian Calendar:
"The true length of a year on Earth is 365.2422 days, or about 365.25 days"
Divided by 12 = 30.4375 days in a month
Lunar Calendar:
"A lunar year, is only 354 days, 8 hours, 48 minutes, 34 seconds (354.367056 days)"
Divided by 12 = 29.53 days in a month
Biblical Calendar (Zadok):
Exactly 30 days per month, aligning perfectly with the prophetic timelines revealed in Scripture.
