The First Month
Examine with the Word
We can understand from the Word that at least two calendar systems were in use during the crucifixion of our Messiah. Yeshua presumably used His Father’s calendar (Zadok calendar) and the Jews of the time followed the Hillel / Babylonian calendar. Therefor Yeshua had Pesach with His disciples on the evening of the 14th day and the Jews (high priests and scribes) was preparing on the 15th day to have Pesach on the 16th day.
We can see that Pesach is to be held on the 14th day (Day 3 of the week), in the evening, and that the Feast of Unleavened bread also begins.
